Kalahari Summer Families
With Kalahari Summer we have adopted a very positive approach to
family safaris. Families are welcome at ALL our lodges, though certain
conditions will apply. At Deception Valley Lodge, Delta Camp and
Grasslands Bushman Lodge we have special family units. In addition we
have special rates that apply for children under the age of 12. The
rate is a 50% reduction on the adult nightly rate.
The text below has a few pointers on each property that will assist
you in planning your guests Family Safari. Should you require further
assistance, please contact us and we will gladly lend a hand.
PRIVATE VEHICLE required at certain of the camps/ lodges at a rate of US$ 200 per night NETT, seating a maximum of 6 guests.
CHILD MINDERS: Should you require the services of a child minder we
can make the arrangements at the respective camp/ lodge for your
guests. This service is free of charge though we do ask guests to pay
a small gratuity, directly to the staff member minding your children.
It is generally accepted that children between the ages of 6-12 do enjoy a safari far more than children younger than 6 years of age. Generally speaking we advise agents that children under the age of 6 on safari are often tremendously taxing on the parents and that parents should also seek expert medical advice when travelling to these parts of Africa with such young children.
Full seat rate price is due should you be using Delta Air. If you are using another charter company please check with them directly.
At Delta Camp, 4 of the chalets are ideal for families. 2 of the chalets have a king size bed and two single beds whilst a further 2 chalets have a king size bed a three quarter bed. Children cost 50% reduction on rates.
