Central Kalahari Game Lodge
Situated on the northern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, right next door to the well-known Deception Valley Lodge is Central Kalahari Game Lodge. The area is typical Central Kalahari landscape with the Deception Valley passing through the property for some 14 kilometres. Wildlife is especially plentiful partly due to excellent vegetation and also the abundance of artificial waterholes that dot the property.
The lodge offers the finest panoramic views over the Central Kalahari ever seen. The main complex consists of open plan lounge, bar, dining area and boma area, whilst a purpose built observation deck affords guests a excellent view of the waterhole frequented by all the wildlife and even better views of the Kalahari.
The lodge accommodates 14 guests in very comfortable semi-detached chalets, each with lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom.
All activities are conducted by a guide and a tracker .. the trackers are all San (bushmen) arguably the best trackers in the world. We offer day drives, night drives, bushman walks and guided walks.
Game is plentiful on the property with large herds of Gemsbok, eland and blue wildebeest together with a host of other large and small mammals. Predators are very active with a large resident lion population, other predators seen on a regular basis is brown hyena, cheetah, leopard and even wild dog periodically are seen!
