Kalahari Summer - Access
Access to the Kalahari Summer Properties is easy and several options are available
REGIONAL FLIGHTS - Maun:
If accessing the Makgadikgadi, Central Kalahari and Okavango Delta the best access is daily flights from Johannesburg to Maun, currently operated by Air Botswana.
All guests traveling further with Delta Air are met off their international flight and assisted on their onward light aircraft charter transfer flight to the preferred camp/ lodge. We endeavour to have guests in the charter planes as soon as possible.
REGIONAL FLIGHTS - Victoria Falls or Livingstone:
This option is the preferred option if accessing the Chobe River Front Region.
However should you not be able to obtain seats on the Johannesburg- Maun route you may consider this option especially if guests wish to visit Muchenje or Ichingo for the Chobe experience, before continuing onwards to the Okavango Delta.
From either Victoria Falls Airport or Livingstone Airports guests can opt for a road transfer to Muchenje Safari Lodge and Kasane Immigration (Chobe River) for Ichingo River Lodge and or Ichobezi Houseboats (please note guests only pay for the transfer from the applicable airport to Kasane Airport/Kasane Immigration (Chobe River)) and then a FREE road transfer to Muchenje Safari Lodge through the Chobe National Park often seeing a host of game en-route and FREE boat transfer to Ichingo River Lodge and or Ichobezi Houseboats.
A more expensive option is a charter from Victoria Falls Airport or Livingstone Airports to Kasane Airport and than onwards to Muchenje Safari Lodge or Ichingo River Lodge and or Ichobezi Houseboats .
